Overall I was quite disappointed with this season. There were a few episodes that were done well like the Zeke flashback one, but anything that would've required action shots and maybe some cool direction tricks to spice up the runtime fell completely flat for me.

The CGI was garbage (don’t even bother replying to this, my mind is set). Yuki Kaji and the entire dubbed version (except Onyankopon) were not up to their usual standards (forgive me, Mr Mercer senpai). I also would have preferred if Sawano had written the whole OST. Sure, Ashes on the Fire is great, but it’s not as epic as CAM or as badass as YSBG.

And Eren. I don’t understand why Eren agreed to the Euthanasia plan, nor why he is acting like such a <insert insult here>. All this time he wanted freedom for everyone within the walls, and suddenly he’s OK with just ending Eldian existence? What? How is that freedom? And like Armin said, hurting Mikasa is in no way “freedom”. We’re just supposed to accept that Eren hates Mikasa, when we’ve had no indication about this from any previous seasons? (Maybe all this is answered in S4P2, I don’t know. Still doesn’t make up for his fall from grace).

Get’s a 9 because it still kept me intrigued throughout the whole season. Zeke gets what he deserves.

but overall.....eh, yet another classic case of manga readers overhyping everything. The season was good yes, but still don't think it was anywhere near S3P2 from both an action and narrative standpoint, seems like S4 Pt2 might shape things up a bit.

Doesn't help either that the 3 best characters in this series reiner eren and monke got less screen time in favour of the adventures of "did you see it?????" and umi da and co. lol.
