1 million yen? That's not nearly enough to travel to Antarctica. Will certainly be interesting to see how they go about getting there.
I also love how they haven't introduced all of the main characters yet. Oh and the opening and ending music is just lovely. Seems Madhouse have really worked their magic, at least so far.
Also, was that a No Game No Life poster in the convenience store?
The fear of taking action.. a fear that is well known to most of us, but man.. seeing Mari finally moving forward and tagging along with her new friend is wholesome asf :p
This was a great first episode, they definitely got me hooked. The art looks great and I’m really excited to see where the story takes us, it seems so cute
Cozy first episode.
It's going to be interesting to see the logistics of these girls actually managing to get everything sorted to go to Antarctica, sadly I doubt 1 million yen is going to cut it,.
We've all been there, refusing to take action because of the "what if" element.
To really get out of your comfort zone is a huge hurdle for lots of people, it's a lot easier with friends though.
This is certainly a very interesting plot line, i can kind of relate to the whole doing nothing in high school thing, but Going to antartica is abit insane but you do you i guess. Cool anime lets see some more.
I started watching this anime circa 2022, looking for "anime about not wasting youth." Oddly specifically enough, I came across A Place Further Than The Universe. Incredibly bored I found myself, as it wasn't the self-insert type I was looking for, so I promptly dropped it after the first episode.
2025, in the same boat I was before - mourning my youth yet as unmotivated as ever. My expectations are incredibly high again, but I'm sure I'm a lot more open minded than before. I just want to watch a good anime anyway. Whether it changes my life or not is in the air; rather, if my life changes or not is up to me.
Finishing the first episode now, I'm not hooked or impressed. I'd drop this again if I didn't know any better. The ED though, I've heard it so much already, what a surprise to hear it in the flesh 😭.
Everyone seems to be raving about the casting, I'll have to check that out too.
