Tozen Ujiie's Seitokai Yakuindomo manga will end with the 22nd volume in January 2022, according to the 21st volume shipped on Tuesday (pictured). The 51st issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine will publish the final chapter in November, concluding the manga's 15-year run.

Ujiie originally serialized the 4-koma school comedy manga in Kodansha's monthly Magazine Special from May 2007 to June 2008 and subsequently transferred it to Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha published the 20th volume on March 17. Seitokai Yakuindomo has a cumulative 4.7 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

GoHands produced two 13-episode anime seasons in Summer 2010 and Winter 2014. The manga also inspired 18 original video anime episodes, the latest of which was bundled with the 19th manga volume last September.

The first anime film, commemorating the manga's 10th anniversary, premiered in Japan in July 2017. A second anime film opened on January 1.

Synopsis
On his first day of high school at the formerly all-girl's Ousai Private Academy, Takatoshi Tsuda is called out for his untidy uniform by the student council president Shino Amakusa. In apology for delaying Takatoshi for his first class—and stating that the group needs a male point of view to accommodate the arrival of boys at the school—Shino offers him the position of vice president of the student council. Though unwilling, Takatoshi finds himself appointed as the newest member of the student council having yet to even step foot inside the school building.

Takatoshi soon realizes that the other student council members who are more than a little strange: President Shino, who is studious and serious in appearance, but actually a huge pervert, fascinated with the erotic and constantly making lewd jokes; the secretary Aria Shichijou, who may seem like a typical sheltered rich girl, but is just as risque as the president, if not more so; and finally, the treasurer Suzu Hagimura, who may act fairly normal, but has the body of an elementary school student and is extremely self-conscious of it. Surrounded by these colorful characters, the new vice president must now work through a nonstop assault of sexual humor and insanity. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I have always been impressed by the work that came out for so many years, while having quite a bit of actual plot development.

Hopefully we will get another season or at least a movie after this.

I followed the anime for quite a while, years ago, so I have yet to watch anything after 2014, but would be nice to get an adaptation that picks up on what is left to cover.

Well, I recently completed the entire anime adaptation of this manga and to be honest, the only changes to this are the introduction of new characters.

I had a good laugh and cheers while watching every single bits of syd. Hopefully GoHands will do justice and put the new project anime for this wonderful pieces. Stop wasting your time creating crap like whatever shit before, GoHands, and focus your hands on this one and only. That will benefit you more.

Well, all good things.

It was a lot of fun, possibly the single best school-SoL I ever knew of, and it'll be very sad to see it gone.

On the bright side, hopefully now there's a shot of it all getting animated, now that there's a finish line in sight.
Well I for one already loved Lain.
