    Food busker usually here in Brazil the size is a bit different they are about half feet long, 15 cm and half of the length in high, but on homemade we do it smaller like you done, try to put Brazilian cachaça instead of rum, the bubbles on the pastry are going to get bigger and crispier. Nice recipe I'm liking that you are doing some Brazilian recipes, I would suggest Feijoada for a next video.

    In Brazil we don't use butter to make the pastry (just one spoon of soy oil , cachaça...) Simple and easy , we eat this with a pepper sauce (like tabasco sauce) , and Brazilian Vinaigrette (tomatos , onions , some parsley , vinager , olive oil ) . Is a typical Brazilian street food . But this recipe is very good too!!

    In Brazil we don't add paprika and too many ingredients with the palmito. Most def no cream cheese.

    • @pauloamw
      @pauloamw 8 лет назад +1

      Those are typical, but again you won't cream cheese in the fruit stalls, not that I'm against it, just pointing that out like you won't find bacon rools with cream cheese and paprika in England.

    • @rogerpenna
      @rogerpenna 8 лет назад

      yeah, but we would use brazilian creamy cheeses like Catupiry or Requeijão. Or Ricota Cheese Cream. All of the three very different in taste and texture from the anglo-saxon (yes, ancient angle-saxons bought it to britain in the year 450 j/k) cream cheese.

  • @professordanielarauj

    Well done! The alcohol is just for the "crack" effect in the pastry. We, indeed, use cachaça, but rum also came from the sugar cane, so, it's in the family! lol
    This looks really good, my man. We also made those bad boys filled with minced meat, mozzarela cheese and, basically, any other topping under the sun.
    Next time, try a desert one: fill it with bananas, a light flavor cheese and then rolled then in a mix of sugar and cinamon right after you fry. Sorry for the bad english and, once again, well done!

      You were not rude.
      The term Brazilian Rum for Cachaça is more to explain what is the Cachaça but Cachaça isn't actually Rum they're both made from the sugar cane but two different processes and they taste completely different. But whatever in this recipe won't make a big difference anyway. ;)

The only changes you made is for the booze on the pastry, which is usually "cachaça", but ok for white rum, and the paprica, which is imported, theres no paprica in Brazil.
