One of the most beautifull episodes yet.
The wedding was so awesome, and the insert song was really good.
A very fitting ending for the Fuuko ark.
My dear weak spacenoids. THAT LEVEL OF LOVE CAN'T BREAK MY BODY OF STEEL!
I guess the best way to describe episode 09 would be 'beautiful'. From start to finish, it was quite the experience.
Yet again with the use of the BGM Uminari ni, it adds more impact to the scene --- it worked perfectly this time around (yet again). I'm glad it kept playing until the morning wake up scene, where they notice that Fuko's no where to be seen.
As for the Wedding ceremony, and it's ending --- i guess powerful is the word to use? It's classic Key, and it's what i love to see. I hope all those Fuko haters (or disliking her arc) can enjoy this. I seriously see no reason why not.
Very beautiful episode, made me get teary eyes. Key/KyoAni ftw.
I loved it how Fu-chan tried to make Nagisa and Tomoya become closer to each other. The music was great again as well and I really can't think of anything this episode lacked. It was simply beautiful.
Indeed it seems Komoti's arc is up next. Can't wait.
simply aawesome.
such emotional scenes when okazaki cry , or fuku gave her sis the starfish.
omg when only one arc is this amazing i dont wanna watch the later ones...
i was really glad that everything worked out how it should be.
now i wonder if fuko will wake uo in the later episodes.
I think I cried a little, I mean it was sad but just beautiful.
I wanna see Fuu-Chan definitly when she wakes up again otherwhise I will be missing something in the anime.
Something was just not right, perhaps if it had stopped with Fuko giving her sister the starfish I could've accepted it but as it stands now I can't help but to feel there is something wrong.I really loved Fuko and her arc mostly but I don't want them to wake her up. If she wakes up at some point later on I will be really disappointed.
D= This is one of those episodes where I think: Do I need to cry here? It definitely didn't have a large impact on me, though some parts were quite notable. The wedding and after was ok, but since everything before that didn't really do anything to me, it kinda lacked the emotional upbuild in which those scenes are supposed to blow me away. I'm looking forward to the next episode. Bye Fuko, I have a heart of stone, I won't miss you. D=
Aw, the Fuko-Arc is over~ ;_;
I'm glad that Nagisa and Okazaki didn't forget about her...it was the worst when they did, but fortunately they remembered her... ._.
Nyah, I'm looking forward to the next arc~ ^_^
I was crying again! Damn you, KyoAni/Key! I didn't feel anything special about Fuko or her story, but I was crying hard through most of the episode.
They really managed to pass the feeling to us. I was crying because the characters were crying, I felt sad because they felt sad. It's not an easy thing to do, and I, once again, give the credit to KyoAni and all of the Clannad staff. The seiyuus also made an incredible job, all of them. And the background music... They were more touching than anything else.
Tomoya is an amazing protagonist. He truly shows his feelings unlike many other male protagonists. His development with Nagisa is almost making me squeal. They couldn't say each other's names! How cute is that?
This episode was magical. Although they did take too long on Fuko's arc and most of the time they couldn't reach most of us, I think this episode did it. Fuko is now more than an Ayu clone, she is more than a cliché. She is the ghost girl everyone talks about and now wait for the day in which she'll wake up. Including us. Because she deserves happiness and loyal friends.
Next is Kotomi? Yay, another girl I wasn't really interested into...

I feel the same way. The reason, I think, is because we do not know Fu-chan's fate. She's not dead, but will she ever wake up? Key isn't exactly generous in miracles for the bratty lolis.
I'm just glad "Omedetou" didn't become the new "Goal"... I'd be depressed for the rest of the weekend if that happened.
Magical is the right word, Lily. It was indeed really cute when Nagisa and Tomoyo were trying to call each other by the first name. Though it looks like they forgot about those minutes again. But hey, I don't mind watching that bit for a second time sometime later. :D

I had a huge lump in my throat for most of the episode until the part at the wedding when Fuko started talking and I realized it was goodbye. And then I cried. But you totally hit it on with Kyo/Ani managing to pass on the feeling to us.
I was hoping they'd start Kyou's arc or Tomoyo's arc next (since we've seen more of them than we have of Kotomi) but I guess it's all good.
Indeed. I cried from the time when they woke up without her til the end. I really really hope she wakes up in the later episodes, I'll feel like they're just forgetting her if she doesn't.
Beautiful and powerful episode. The music made a great emphasis on all the right parts at the right times. Wasn't really a Fuko fan, but the way her story played out was well done overall I think. And it leaves me interested in if she'll ever wake up.
Yea. i have to agree that the ending was emotional and all, but it just didn't make me go into tears. I couldn't really "feel", if thats a word to describe it, for Fuko as much. I probably will for the other arcs, or perhaps i watched too much of Kanon and AIR.
I loved this episode, one of the best so far, i really cried alot! The last time i cried that much was when i watched AIR. The Kotomi arc looks very interesting!

I was actually thinking about them calling each other by their first names before Fuko brought it up, it was really weird, lol. I was also sad when they forgot about that :( That and the fountain scene from the previous ep - pure win :D
I didn't cry, but I teared up - especially with Tomoya crying. I agree that he is an amazing protagonist. I really enjoyed Fuko and the ending to her arc with this episode... some middle parts were a bit too drawn out, I think, but the ending was wonderful.
I loved the scene when they remembered her, and she was standing between them. Heck, I loved the whole ep!
After watching ef 7 and 8, I felt the emotional scenes of Clannad 9 were a tad bit lacking... If I wasn't following ef, I would have probably shed a few tears watching this episode. It was actually quite emotional, good job kyoani, but lacking compared to the bombshells you call ef 7 and 8.
Now this is coming from someone who broke down into tears watching Air 13 (Misuzu-chan!!!!)
This is heavily biased due to my innate hatred of Ayu (Nayuki fanboy here xD), with Fuko being an indirect clone of Ayu, well I guess it affected my opinions somewhat.
Maybe the whole magical/miracles thing is a bit overplayed (although it is Key's trademark) when it comes to the stuff kyoani does. First Air and Kanon now Clannad...still a great story though xD
okay enough ranting...(listens to mou ikkai which will probably make me insane...)
Kotomi is moe~ xD
When they showed her attending the wedding lost and confused, she achieved godlike moe status! Kotomi for SaiMoe 2008! xD
Damn...now she's gone....but her existence and remnents are still remembered....geez she had to disappear.... This episode was great no lie especially towards the end when Fuko just popped outta no where...Now the Kotomi arc begins!!

Haha, I dislike Ayu a lot too. But I still managed to cry over Fuko, while I couldn't feel much for Ayu.
Beautiful episode! I couldn't think of a more fitting ending. I did cry, and it was sad, though it didnt have the power or the impact that I hoped it would. Still a 5/5. I agree also, Tomoya is an incredible protagonist. If you think about it, the ending seemed to be rather happy; her message got through to everyone (inluding her sister), everyone remembered and attended the wedding, she still exists somewhere in everyone's heart she touched, and there's still a possibility of her waking up. Hopefully the Kotomi arc will be good, but I don't have high hopes for it.

OH man I tried....but when Fuko gave her sister the star.....;-; Great ep....I read a rumor that CLANNAD maybe 52 eps? Wait...what? well we are already at 9eps and they have only finished 1 arc.....hmmmm....
Great episode, though I didn't tear up like I did in AIR, and it seemed a bit weird to me how they're like "Hmmm" "I wonder what happened" *Fuko pops up in between them*.
Almost seemed too surreal to me...
Still a great episode though, looking forward to next arcs.
(Btw fuko didn't really take up 9 episodes though, the first few were introductions 'n that)
OMG I CRIED AS MUCH AS WHEN I WATCHED ONE LITRE OF TEARS T___________T
NEXT WEEK WE SEE KOTOMI <33333 T_________________________T
T__________________________________________________________T
It was a great end to the arc, and I was pretty teary in the first half of the episode. I can't wait for the Kotomi arc to start though. I like her a lot more than Fuko. (No offense, Fuko fanboys/fangirls)
This episode was definitely enjoyable. But it didn't give me some kind of sad feeling as Kanon 06 did but was close. Agree that Tomoya is a great protagonist over many others.
Pure awesome, and yeah I cried a bit around the second half of it, was a sad/happy ending. It was also sad the fuko's arc ended, she was an awesome character, and set the bar pretty high for the other arcs in my opinion. I can't wait for the next episode, but at the same time I know it won't be the same in a way. ;_;
