I didn't read the manga so I don't really know what he meant, but I'm going to assume Toji's last request to Gojo was to keep Megumi away from the Zenin clan because he knew that clan was shit, and I respect that.

Wait until you find out that not only Akutami supervises everything on the anime, including storyboards, but that they also explicitly talk about how much they love certain changes and go out of their way to appreciate animators, actually knowing their names.

The battle between Geto and Toji was hype af.  Seeing Geto snapped was insane. Toji cutting through that dragon gave me chills. Not even Geto's cursed techniques can defeat Toji.
Then there was Gojo who looked bat shit crazy lol.
Even Toji thought this man was high af or something. Just look at Gojo's beautiful eyes. Gojo is living his best life haha!
Gojo pulled out the murasaki purple curse technique on Toji. Blowing a hole through this man. What good riddance.

RIP Riko. She past away too soon : (
I couldn't fathom how Gojo felt when he was carrying Riko's corpse. I would've killed everyone at that star religious cult. Those weird clapping mfers!
Both Geto and Gojo should've massacred everyone in that room.

ik some people didn't like the angle of honored one panel yeah it was bit underwhelming compared to manga but still it was good i mean tbh manga will always be superior to anime nevertheless it was such a mad episode

It's surely the flagship show of Mappa this year. You'd wish Vinland Saga S2 and Jigokuraku had the same budget/love, but alas the money always goes to the most popular show.

That said, this episode is basically what this anime can/should be when it's firing on all cylinders. Artistic direction, characterization and action choreography are all very spot-on. I barely have a thing to complain about.

I really wish there would be some background story about Touji, like how he got that heavenly pact and how he knew a lot about the enemy territories. Also with Gojo, there is inconsistency with his first and second fight with Touji. Like how in first fight they seemed to be on par, but on second fight Gojo completely dominated him. This part I found to be a bit out of place. Also if Gojo really dodged the attack then why didn't he save the girl from dying?

As someone who likes JJk anime more than the manga, the Gojo vs Toji fight was better in the manga nonetheless it looked really great in the anime and Geto vs Toji was perfection and def better than the manga for me

I don't even have words anymore to express how incredible is to have Shōta Goshozono directing jujutsu kaisen and how many incredible people he can bring to work with, i will just pass by the comments on every episode just to drop my 10/10

Jujutsu may not be among the "top 20 anime of all time" YET, but for sure by the end of this season it will be among the top 3, and even though it's at 39 for now we know that JUJUTSU WILL WIN ANIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN , just like it won in season 1 and won movie of the year, Jujutsu was born for success, and when it rises through the ranks to the top 3, I will be singing the Drake song "Started from the bottom, now we're here".

IT WAS SO GOOD! i love how the battles are so intense but the music is so peaceful truly a masterpiece, but the ending did make me slightly sick lol

BTW I gave Vinland Saga S2 a 10/10 (I only gave 7 anime 10/10 so far). Still, when compared with S1, my impression is that characters in S2 did not receive the same attention to details. In some distant shots Thorfinn and friends also looked a bit goofy/disproportioned.

JJK is not even my favorite shonen but JJK S2 looks like a high-budget feature-length film the whole time (especially EP3-4), so my impression is that its budget is way higher than Vinland Saga S2.

I...I have no words to describe how I feel right now after this episode. I'm just devastated, but this is why we love jujutsu kaisen.

Mappa is doing amazing work, animation is just amazing.

I really don't know what to say, this episode was just so thrilling, I think I will have to watch it one or two more times till it will came to me what just happend there.

Gotta love the animation of these fights as well as the accompaining improvised jazz and Gojo's revival. Everything went somber quickly in the last 2 episodes and I feel bad for Niko but I somehow expected it to be that way.

This was one of my most anticipated episodes, and it went above and beyond my expectations! It brought the manga to life pretty accurately, and also elevated certain scenes, like the first fight. The animation was incredible, tension and hype were built well and the characters were amazing as always.

I'm very excited for the rest of the season, especially if the next arc is done as well as this one!
